Professional Experience

Rupa Bhandari is an Associate at Villarreal Hutner PC. Rupa has successfully defended employers against claims of discrimination and harassment, wage and hour issues, and claims involving leave laws, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Unruh Act, and union contract matters. In addition to being a litigator, Rupa also provides strategic advice and counsel to employers regarding California and federal employment laws. She also conducts employment practices audits and prepares employee handbooks.

Professional Qualifications and Activities

Prior to joining Villarreal Hutner PC, Rupa represented employers, including education employers, at Gordon & Rees. She is a member of the State Bar of California, the San Francisco Bar Association, and the California Minority Counsel Program.

Before Law School...

Rupa worked for Reuters Television and Fox News Channel where she interviewed celebrities on the red carpet for movie premieres. When not mingling with celebrities, Rupa also ran a program where she helped 200 inner-city children receive mentorship to improve their literacy.
